The University of Maryland School of Nursing’s Living History Museum is one of the nation’s few museums dedicated to educating the public about the rich history and heritage of the nursing profession. The museum features hundreds of historic objects and photographs, as well as audio and video presentations. The museum traces the evolution of nursing education, research, and practice at the University of Maryland from its early years as a hospital training school to its emergence as a premier professional nursing school.
