Just north of the city’s main train station is an eclectic collection of art galleries, theaters, and performance spaces. The Station North Arts and Entertainment District is one of three state-designated A&E districts in Baltimore. Located along the Charles Street National Scenic Byway, Station North boasts no fewer than 15 theaters and performance venues. The historic Charles Theater is a focal point of the annual Maryland Film Festival. Each summer, the district hosts Artscape, the largest free public arts festival in the nation.
