Located a few blocks from the city’s famed Inner Harbor, Camden Yards is a fairly recent addition to the city but one that was quickly welcomed and admired. The stadium opened in 1992 and ushered in a retro trend in sports stadium design. The nostalgic, retro feel pairs beautifully with the 1899 B&O Railroad warehouse building behind the right-field wall. The ballpark is situated on the rail yard that serviced the B&O’s Camden Station (now home to the Sports Legends Museum).
