The museum at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church provides an overview of the denomination’s history and the landmark 1884 church. Designed by Stanford White, the church is designed in the Romanesque style of the early churches and basilicas in Ravenna, Italy. The sanctuary of this church is remarkable, oval in shape with deep red walls and a beautiful domed ceiling. The church is considered the Mother Church of American Methodism.
