Since opening in 1981, the Baltimore Museum of Industry has enlightened visitors on the city’s unique history in manufacturing. Housed in a former oyster canning facility, BMI features recreations of a print shop, garment factory, cannery, machine shop and a pharmacy. Workshops and exhibits show how things were made and explore Baltimore's role as one of the busiest and most important ports in the nation.
