800 Block of Howard Street; 200 Block of Read Street

Baltimore, Maryland

Antique Row, located in the 800 block of N. Howard Street and the 200 block of W. Read Street, has been the premier antique shopping district in Baltimore for the last hundred years. Since the 1840s, shopkeepers have lived and worked in these blocks, selling dry goods, groceries, and blacksmith services. Antiques establishments began moving here in the 1900s.

Within these two blocks, one can find shops specializing in English, Continental, and American furnishings, paintings and accessories, Chinese porcelain, old and rare books and prints, and other items. Since all of the shops are individually owned and operated, shoppers are advised call ahead to make sure a particular shop will be open when they plan to visit. Antique Row is conveniently located on the Howard Street light rail line.
