Since 2004, the Baltimore National Heritage Area has managed the Small Capital Grant Program funded by the City of Baltimore. The grants make relatively small, but strategic, investments in structural improvements for the city’s cultural, historic, and natural resources. On average, the Small Cap grants leverage an additional $13 in investment for every $1 granted.

The Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) announced seven matching grants totaling $353,300 for Baltimore nonprofits and heritage tourism organizations, including three museums.
