On January 2, 2023 Congress reauthorized the Baltimore National Heritage Area for another 15 years, through the passage of Senate Bill 1942. The significance of this Congressional Act was the matching of the National Heritage Area boundary with the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority’s Boundary (amended in 2019).
